Statement of Intent
Making art has always been an important part of my life: I feel content when my mind is fully engaged in a creative project. The inspiration for my work comes from observing all kinds of people in all sorts of situations —whether real or fictional. I like storytelling, ordinary moments, everyday magic, memory, emotion, and the blurring of boundaries. Increasingly I like the idea of simplifying an idea to its essence. I like working in a variety of media but a recurring theme has always been the human figure.
